EASA qualified GT designs and manufactures propellers for modern aircraft but also makes Spitfire propeller blades and wooden propellers for ancient aircraft. Although propellers are sometimes made from the original drawings, GT also improves the blade aerofoils for higher performance while retaining the antique appearance. Propellers have been made for a wide variety of vintage aircraft and engines, including the DH Gipsy series.

Founded by George Adams in 1932, Invincible Airscrews fabricates magnificent new wooden propellers to DH drawings. Invincible has now secured a substantial stock of the rare Australian hardwoods from which its propellers are made and is continuing production at Rutherland near Maitland. Etablissements Poncelet was founded in 1932 to make wooden propellers and later wooden boats. Lead by the Poncelet family for three generations, in 2012 Marc Deltenre took over the reins to develop the business further. The propeller making tradition continues, and wooden propellers are also renovated and repaired. Experience includes propellers for homebuilts and World War I fighters as well as DH designs.

“Skycraft” specialises in propeller maintenance and supply for vintage and collection aircraft, and has considerable experience with fixed pitch propellers for all the Gipsy Major engine variants. Over the years it has developed and certified a range of fixed pitch propellers for de Havilland aircraft, much used on the Tiger Moth and Chipmunk but also on the Dragon, Hornet and Leopard.
