Tiger Moth project for sale. Ex RAF DH82A Tiger Moth manufactured in 1942 and operated as DE450 until 1954 when she was converted for civilian use and flew one flight as G-ANOP before being shipped to Australia in 1956 and registered VH-BFW. In 1985 she hit power lines and suffered major damage to the forward fuselage then spent 16 years in a farm shed. Restoration on the forward fuselage includes a new floor, control box, side frames, turtle decks, oil tank frame and surrounding timberwork, instrument panels and all fittings but minus some instruments. The rear fuselage frame has received some minor repairs. Some restoration work has been completed on the fin and rudder with new fin posts and rudder spars being purchased. New aluminium cowls. Gipsy Major 1 engine No 83528 as fitted on sale from the RAF. The engine bearers are in fair, re-usable condition. The undercarriage is as it was removed from the aircraft with minor damage.
